MODULE 5 UNIT of Introduction to Batteries and Battery Maintenance

This lesson will introduce the students to the steps required to create a method of procedure to complete the installation of a VLA battery and the associated racks. The lesson will start by identifying the necessary steps to complete a fully compliant installation. Each step will then be explained in detail and will include taking delivery of the battery, the installation of the racks, along with the placement and interconnection of the individual cells/units. The lesson will continue by establishing the type of freshening charge required and will end with an explanation of the necessary steps required to complete the acceptance discharge test.
